# Grant Request: Funding for Snapshot Pro Subscription

**To:** Panther Protocol Foundation

**Subject:** Grant Request for Snapshot Pro Subscription

## Overview

This grant request seeks funding from the Panther Protocol Foundation to cover the **Snapshot Pro subscription** for a period of **two months**. Snapshot is the governance platform currently used by Panther DAO for decentralized voting.

Upgrading to the **Pro plan** is required to enable continued voting functionality using **Polygon token balances** , ensuring DAO governance can operate seamlessly without interruption.

## Background

The Panther DAO relies on Snapshot as its off-chain voting mechanism. In line with **PIP-7 voting logic** , token balances on Ethereum Mainnet and Polygon are used to determine voting power. The Pro subscription is necessary to maintain support for Polygon-based balances, which are critical to enabling a majority of the community to participate.

Without this subscription, governance processes risk disruption, reducing transparency and undermining DAO decision-making efficiency.

- **Funding Source:** Grant from the Panther Protocol Foundation

- **Payment Method:** In **USDC** , payable to the **DAO Fund Multisig

## Rationale

- Ensures uninterrupted DAO governance using both Ethereum and Polygon balances.

- Maintains continuity with established governance processes.

- Provides fairness to community members holding tokens on Polygon.

- Cost-efficient interim solution while longer-term funding mechanisms for DAO operations are discussed.

## Next Steps

1. Foundation to approve this grant request.

2. Foundation to execute payment of **$600 USDC** to the **DAO Fund Multisig**.

3. DAO Fund Multisig to disburse payment to Snapshot for the Pro subscription.

4. DAO governance to continue without disruption while a longer-term arrangement is prepared.
